La Tangerina Riad
La Tangerina Riad is an elegant, beautiful, friendly, and clean. This Riad is located on the ramparts of the Kasbah section of the Old Medina, with fantastic views of the strait and downtown Tangier. This neighborhood is generally quite safe, especially during the day. If you request it, La Tangerina Riad’s staff will prepare a delicious traditional Moroccan meal. Rooms are tastefully decorated, and have little vintage radios that play relaxing music when you turn them on.

Beautiful resort with a highly recommended restaurant, a stunning beach, and unforgettable sunsets over the Atlantic. Hotel Le Mirage has a swimming pool. Sights in the city of Tangier are about 20 minutes away by car or taxi. Check out the $5 camel rides on the beach during the summer months. The cave of Hercules and Achakar beach are right next door.

Hotel Marco Polo is located on the beach right near the Port of Tangier. The hotel has a restaurant and some rooms that overlook the bay. Popular with both Moroccans and foreigners. The neighborhood is safe, and it’s only a short walk up the hill to the main boulevard, or a 10 minute walk to the old medina. The Hotel is right near the city beach, (but don’t swim there the water isn’t clean!) This would be a great location if you are expecting an early morning ferry.
