Dar Nilam

Dar Nilam is a beautiful riad with a little garden, and lavish decorations. Expect great helpful service. It’s in a quiet safe neighborhood near the Tangier Train station. You’ll need to catch a taxi if you want to explore the medina or downtown. Dar Nilam is only 300m from the beach, but this beach isn’t safe to swim in (No matter what a Moroccan tells you!) Breakfast is included in the price, and I think you can arrange to eat other meals in the hotel as well. See photos, reviews, and rates for Dar Nilam...

Riad Tanja

Riad Tanja is a gorgeous riad tucked into the walls of the old medina. Close access to the port and about a 5 minute walk from downtown. Riad Tanja has it’s own restaurant. The end of rue Portugal nearest the port can be sketchy because of drifters and drug addicts, so you might want to go to the Riad by another route when you can. Hotel L’Marsa

Hotel L’Marsa is located very close to the entrance to the Port of Tangiers and just down the hill from the old medina. Be aware that this can be a very sketchy place at night, and the empty lot next door is a safe place for your car, but not for you. The restaurant downstairs on street level serves good seafood. Several other good restaurants are located just down the street. It’s name means “hotel of the port” in Arabic.
