Hotel Muniria is a pretty decent hotel, and certainly a good deal for the price. Some rooms have bathrooms with showers but not all do. If you want a hot shower in your room chances are you might have to tell the reception first. According to wikipedia Paul Bowles stayed at Hotel Muniria when he wrote the Naked Lunch. Located only 5 minutes walk from the port and the entrance to the old medina.
My wife and I stayed here in 2009. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly. It is conveniently located about a 5-10 minute walk anywhere downtown, and a 15 minute walk to the port of Tangier.
Very basic rooms, no telephones or TVs in room, but some of the rooms face the beach and have great views.
I would recommend this hotel for singles, or couples without children. However, don’t expect five star service.
